As our lives become increasingly global, we are rapidly losing our connection with those around us. We send lots of e-mail, but have little real conversation. We communicate lots of information, but have little substance. Our phone lists are large, yet we have less interaction. But God never meant for us to exist alone. From creation His idea was community and connection, with Him and with others. We want people to know Christ and to become like Him. That can only happen in an atmosphere of authentic community. That's why we've created Life Groups. We believe life works best when you are connected to God and
other people.
At First Assembly Cedar Rapids , this connection happens in a variety of environments. We come together for worship in a weekend service, but we do life in small groups. It may be a group of golfers, artists, hunters
or business people. Some groups like to study, some like to pray, while others focus on developing life skills. There are many places you can find where you fit. For more information on Life Groups email Dave DeHaan, our Community Life Pastor.
